Our PTSA is made up of hard-working parents, students, and staff who pool their talents to provide practical support for our school. PTSA provides services and programming to boost the community spirit and educational programs of the Law Magnet. We help with graduation, after-school clubs, health education, safety, textbooks, community gatherings, and so much more!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE

We're looking for volunteers for the following positions:

  • VP of Ways and Means: Oversee all aspects of fundraising, ensuring budgets and plans are in place, and managing fundraising events throughout the year. This role also includes working closely with fundraising committee chairs and attending board meetings. 
  • Spirit Wear Committee Chair: Responsible for managing spirit wear process, including design, ordering, and distribution. This role involves gathering student input, managing design contests, actively searching for the best deals with vendors, and overseeing the entire process from ordering to distribution. The Spirit Wear Chair also handles specific items like incoming learner shirts, senior shirts, and PTSA/staff shirts, as well as all forms of spirit wear, including clothing, car tags, and memorabilia. 
     
  • Membership Committee Chair: Responsible for leading the efforts to recruit, retain, and grow membership. This involves organizing campaigns, promoting PTA benefits, and ensuring a strong, engaged membership base.
     
  • Fundraising Committee Members: Responsibilities include brainstorming, organizing, and executing PTSA fundraising efforts.
     
  • Hospitality Committee Members: Responsibilities include brainstorming and executing teacher and student events with Ms. Scott.
  • Peace Pantry Volunteers: Responsibilities include organizing and maintaining the pantry under the direction of Ms. Rojas.
  • Other Opportunities Available: Special events, one-time donations
